COPY RIGHT LICENSING: HARASSMENT

Some days ago, i was arrested by piracy officials who in their opinion felt i was engaged in the business of copying and selling local music. Their suspicion arose from a customer who had entered by retail data business to surf and left with a non-branded CD which he came with and thus giving rise to a search in premises. As they carried out their operation, I tried to convince the anti-infringement official that was not my source livehood but to avail. Besides, their verbal communication that they were from the Copyright, they never produce any documents to back their assertion. After ten minutes of search, they came out with my personal CD which were in a small room that i call home. In addition, they insisted that they are going to seize one of my PC which was the only one with DVD Rom given that it had an adult material download on it. I pleaded that given i carry out the internet business it was impossible to police every customer while surfing in order to prevent the downloading of the adult material but couldnt accept my explanation. As a result, i arrested and my personal CD and PC seized at take to BuruBuru Police Station. This was the beginning of black mail. The Officers had already made their mind that i had committed a crime or (infringement). This was done when they began showing me the penalty of my crime. To this end, i had to be charged and locked in cells pending the arraignment in court. But before they could do that, they began exercising 'the Court roles' by asking me to offer some money inorder to regain my freedom. I had no choose but to accept the offer. The reason was because i operate a small business which of late i had encountered alot disasters(robbery) and therefore, if i was to follow up the issue to its conclusive end my business will suffer and thus i had to salvage or protect it at all cost. So, the officers parted with some money and thus release me with my items. The upshot of the above circumstances is that officers robbed me using the law(Copyright law). Money that i had honesty earned through legal means(data service). To add insult to injury, the very people they calmed to protect (i.e the Local musicians) never got the money as it went to their pockets. I am very angry!!! Hopefully, the law will catch will them.
