LOST & IN SEARCH OF A POLITICAL PLATFORM

I am lost as to the political platform i will be supporting in this year General Election. This is because individuals are the vehicle in which we are being asked to endorse other than the issues they will sell to the masses. Ignorance and self-preservation is killing political institution and thus denying us the ownership of them. That said it will take time before the electorate understand the importance of political parties as body that no individuals owns but collectively belong to those who subscribe to their ideas and idelogy. Till that, i will be in lost.....

I'm not commenting to judge you or debate you but to share and hopefully learn from you. I wonder what group do you belong to. Are you involved in your community? Are your ties more business oriented? Regardless of what the bases of your affiliations may be, maybe that should be your foundation. From there, as a group, figure out what are 10-15 major issues that you would expect to be addressed by the government that is meant to serve you. Then when you see that both parties will promise you the sun and the moon, try to figure out who needs your money and who is going to make money for you. If the last doesn't apply then realize that your vote doesn't count. Sorry I can not tell a lie, so I suggest that you don't live one.
